MSU’s Azalea Hall Introduces Private Living, Communal Spaces, and Modern Dining for Students

According to Dei Allard, executive director of MSU Housing and Residence Life, the focus of this project is to cater to the needs and preferences of today’s college students. The design aims to provide ample opportunities for student engagement, collaboration, and their overall academic and social well-being.

The new dining options being introduced in the northern part of the campus align with MSU’s updated vision for food services. Azalea Hall will offer a variety of dining choices including a brick oven and hand-tossed pizza spot, a Mediterranean-inspired eatery serving made-to-order pastas, an innovative ghost kitchen with a diverse and rotating lineup of culinary options, food lockers for easy and contactless pickup, and a Maroon Market.

Regina Hyatt, Vice President for Student Affairs, expressed the long-standing priority of bringing a dining venue to this area. The new dining venue will not only cater to students, but also serve as a place where visitors and MSU employees can enjoy a meal.
