The SheaMoisture Dream Fund Grant for 2023 has been enhanced and expanded.
In the year 2023, SheaMoisture strengthens its dedication to supporting Black women who identify as entrepreneurs by enhancing their program. This includes providing a grant along with personalized business coaching, mentorship, and opportunities to network. In collaboration with The Diversity Agency, The Dream Fund Grant will offer a $10,000 grant to five female Black entrepreneurs, resulting in a total of $50,000. Additionally, they will receive individualized business coaching to accommodate their specific business requirements.

SheaMoisture’s dedication to uplifting Black women is shown through the addition of personal assistance to this year’s financial grant. This demonstrates their continued support for celebrating and addressing the unique challenges faced by Black female entrepreneurs. This commitment is deeply rooted in the brand’s beginnings, which were inspired by Sophie Tucker’s entrepreneurial legacy.

Maureen Kitheka, the Brand Manager for SheaMoisture Canada, who has played a key role in furthering the impact of the fund, expresses her excitement regarding SheaMoisture’s enhanced dedication to positively affecting the lives of the recipients.

SheaMoisture has continuously paved the way to support and uplift Black women and their communities. As a strong advocate for fairness and the attainment of true freedom within the Black community, our dedication to investing in and empowering Black female entrepreneurs acknowledges their significant role in generating wealth in Black Canadian communities. In 2023, we will celebrate the prosperity of Black businesses and help fulfill the aspirations of five chosen business owners by not only providing financial support but also accompanying them on their journey to grow their enterprises.

SheaMoisture is excited to collaborate with The Diversity Agency once more this year, as they join forces to have a more significant influence on the lives of the successful Black women entrepreneurs.

Andria Barrett, founder of The Diversity Agency, expresses her enthusiasm for partnering with SheaMoisture once again, emphasizing that what sets The Dream Fund apart is not just providing a grant, but also offering coaching and mentorship. This combination is crucial for the winners’ success.

Until June 23, 2023, individuals who are interested can send in their written and video applications for The Dream Fund Grant. These applications should explain what sets their business apart and how they are positioned to facilitate progress in their respective Black communities. The winners will be chosen by a panel of Black business experts assembled by the Diversity Agency, as well as through a voting process within the community. SheaMoisture remains committed to their mission of supporting and empowering Black women who have been neglected, as they strive to achieve their aspirations and explore new opportunities.
