STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University is recognizing standout graduate students and faculty mentors for their outstanding achievements in teaching, research, and service during the academic year 2023-2024.

This year’s distinguished individuals are being celebrated for their contributions:

Top Graduate Student Advisor of the Year

—Gabe Nyen, a forestry master’s student from Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

Donald Zacharias Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year

—Caroline Ferrell, a mathematics and statistics master’s student from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

—Junnatun Naym, a finance and economics doctoral student from Bangladesh.

Graduate Service Assistant of the Year

—Mallie Donald, a higher education leadership and educational psychology doctoral candidate from Edwards.

—Carley Hand, a higher education leadership and educational psychology master’s student from Hattiesburg.
