Education Next senior editor Paul E. Peterson addressed the Alaska state legislature last Thursday, Feb. 7, delivering his findings from The Nation’s Charter Report Card. According to the report, which ranks states based on their charter school performance, Alaska’s charter sector ranks highest in the United States. Peterson presented his findings to both Alaska’s House Education Committee and Senate Education Committee.

The report, titled “The Nation’s Charter Report Card: First-ever state ranking of charter student performance on the National Assessment of Educational Progress,” was co-written by M. Danish Shakeel and is currently available.
