The Band Perry, a country trio, has decided to go on a “creative break” to concentrate on individual projects

The Band Perry, a Grammy-winning country group, is pausing their collaboration to focus on individual creative endeavors.

On Monday, the siblings made an announcement on social media, sharing that their most successful songs include “If I Die Young” and “Better Dig Two”.
On Instagram and Twitter, Kimberly, Reid, and Neil Perry have announced that they have collectively decided to take a break from their group activities and dedicate their efforts towards their respective individual creative endeavors.

“In the upcoming season, we will continue to provide mutual support as artists and as a family in everything we pursue. We express our gratitude for making our childhood aspirations a reality! We appreciate all of you and encourage you to follow us on our personal Instagram accounts for updates on our creative ventures and personal lives.”

The band, originally from Mississippi, combines elements of traditional country music with influences from pop and rock. They introduced themselves to the music scene with their debut album, titled after their band name, in 2010. This album featured popular songs like “Hip to My Heart” and their breakthrough single, “If I Die Young.” At the 54th Grammy Awards, they were nominated for best new artist but ultimately lost to Bon Iver in 2012. However, in 2015, they achieved success by winning the duo/group performance award for their song, “Gentle On My Mind.”

In 2019, they unveiled their most recent EP titled “Nite Swim” and have only had a few opportunities to perform together due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Notably, they performed at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, Calif., last August and eventually at Bonnet Springs Park in Lakeland, Fla., in October.
The next projects of the band members have not been revealed yet, but Kimberly Perry, who is 39 years old, hinted at something related to spring by sharing a collage of nine images on her Instagram account on Monday.
In a collection of captions, the oldest sibling expressed their delight in seeing someone, mentioning that it has been a while since they last met. They mention the arrival of spring weather, with the occurrence of April showers and the blossoming of May flowers. They highlight the vibrant greenery and the abundance of blooms in their surroundings. The oldest sibling expresses their joy in spending this time with the person they are addressing and signs off as Kimberly with love.
