Just three days prior to her 15-year-old son carrying out a mass shooting at his Michigan high school in 2021, Jennifer Crumbley was caught on camera leaving a shooting range with the handgun.
She had recently taken her son to practice shooting, calling it a “mom and son day” to try out his new Christmas present: a 9-millimeter pistol that he referred to online as “My new beauty.”
The images played a crucial role in this groundbreaking conviction, which legal experts believe could provide a new tool for prosecutors in the fight against increasing mass shootings.
