High school students invited to share views on significance of upcoming election

Dear high school students,

The upcoming U.S. presidential election is set to take center stage globally. This autumn, citizens of the United States will once again participate in the electoral process, with the two frontrunners expected to mirror those of the previous election cycle four years ago. The year 2024 may bear a resemblance to the eventful 2020 presidential election and its aftermath.

Once again, in your classrooms, the unfolding of history coincides with the present moment.

Given that this upcoming election might mark your first opportunity to participate as a voter, we are curious to know the significance of this moment in your classes and among your peers. Are you closely monitoring the campaign developments? Or does it seem somewhat detached from your daily life?

The New York Times’ Headway team is keen on hearing directly from you. Kindly take a moment to fill out our survey below, and we will reach out to you soon.
