Food trucks to roll onto MSU campus next week, offering a range of mobile meal choices

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State is embracing the food truck trend as multiple local vendors bring their culinary delights to campus for university students and staff to enjoy this fall.
Featuring a variety of cuisine from barbecue to burgers, MSU Dining Services is strategically stationing rotating food trucks at convenient spots all over campus. Two trucks, including the Perry Food Truck, will debut at the YMCA Plaza on August 21, with additional trucks from Starkville’s Spotlight Café, West Point’s BBQ Drippins, and Pressed for Time starting on varying dates and operating from Monday to Friday.
Students can use the new Dawg Dollars—formerly Flex Dollars—within the fall dining plan to make purchases from food trucks via the Grubhub app. To access the majority of the trucks, students and staff can download the app at the following link: https://msstatedining.campusdish.com/MobileOrdering.
Furthermore, block meals can now be utilized for convenient dining at the Perry Food Truck and the new Perry-to-Go location at the former State Fountain Bakery site within Colvard Student Union.
In addition to the mobile dining options, MSU Dining Services has recently transformed the University Florist space into an updated Subway restaurant and introduced a new Bento Sushi outlet. Moreover, Umble Coffee Co. from Starkville is now offering a selection of coffee beverages at the Barnes & Noble at MSU café.
Many of these food service enhancements coincide with ongoing renovations at Perry Cafeteria, a historically significant building on campus constructed in 1921 and designated as a Mississippi Landmark.
